Welcome to www.kent-debt-advice.co.uk, the web site for
"Forward Investments".
Do you feel up to your neck in debt? Feel that there is nowhere
left to turn? Many people throughout the UK are in debt of some
form or another. Easy credit, easy mortgages, shop cards and loans,
spending on credit cards etc., have all contributed over the years
to produce a society that lives on borrowed money, building up debts
that can spiral out of control.
With our expertise in dealing with all manner of financial issues,
we can help you to relieve your burden of debt. In some cases, we
can help to reduce your debt by as much as 90%, allowing you to
get on with your life.
What Do We Do?
There are many ways out of debt, some better than others. What
it is important to understand is that we are not in the business
of debt consolidation. We do not consolidate loans; this is quite
often the entirely wrong method to address debt. Debt consolidation
simply elongates the period over which the debt is paid off, which
therefore increases the overall cost. Taking out a loan will almost
invariably be against property, so you risk losing your house, car
or other possessions if you fail to maintain payments.
Instead, we negotiate your debt with your creditors on your behalf.
What is the procedure?
As licensed by the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), we
will sit down with you, discuss your situation and collate your
documents to ascertain your financial position. We will then write
to your creditors to advise them of your situation and negotiate
with them on your behalf, to settle the debt. The negotiation often
takes 6 - 12 months, the aim to settle the original debt at a much
lower figure, sometimes as low as 10%. Whilst the process is on-going,
you should not be hassled by your creditors - they will be dealing
with us instead.
Other means of reducing your debts include referral to a financial
advisor, if desired, who may be able to remortgage with a view to
lowering your monthly payments.
How Does it Work?
We write to your creditors enclosing an Authority Letter signed
by yourself and ask for them to correspond with our negotiators.
This means that you can relax for the first time in a long while.
We will calculate how much better off you are, now that you are
not servicing the debt. We ask for a percentage of this amount to
be paid to us to create a ‘fighting fund’.
It will normally take 6 months for the first creditor to settle.
Once all creditors have been dealt with, any balance remaining from
your fighting fund is returned to you.
What is the next step?
Please contact us, either by telephone, email or post and let us
take the pressure off you. Let your creditors deal directly with
us and get on with living your life in the knowledge that you are
at last handling the issues that have been affecting you.
Why should you use us?
